Finding Your Perfect Husband When You Don't Want to Say it out Loud!
I have been doing some research on the internet these past few days looking at what people search for when they are looking for a husband. One interesting thing which came up was that looking for a ‘husband' may be putting off potential suitors. So I thought, how about we explore that a little bit…
One guy said that he avoids the women on dating sites that advertise in their profile that they are looking for a husband. His argument was that because it was a husband and not for example ‘the love of their life' that they were seeking he felt that it was a slot filling exercise and that any guy would do just as long as they got married. My initial reaction was, crikey, what if he is right and that's how men really think??? Then I gave myself a reality check and decided that first and foremost the woman has to be honest. So, if you are a woman on a dating site and your goal is to find a husband then you should say so. If this proclamation frightens some guys off then I would say they are not the perfect guy for you in any event.
Also, it got me thinking about what was wrong with saying you were looking for a husband anyway. To me, saying that you are looking for a husband just means letting guys know that you are not online to get laid. It says that you aren't interested in one night stands or guys who don't ultimately want a committed and loving relationship. I also hope that it says ‘hey, I am a strong, confident and loving woman who is ready for a loving and committed relationship'. It would be great to think that men reading your online advert were savvy enough to know that your goal is to meet the love of your life and then get married. Hopefully these men will also be savvy enough to realise that not just any man will do and that you are not merely looking to tick the ‘husband wanted' box.
So ladies, get out there and get looking for your perfect husband, he is out there waiting to meet you.
